About The Position
The Wags Club, a premier cage-free dog daycare and boarding facility in West Los Angeles, is seeking dependable Overnight Dog Care Attendants for part-time positions. This role is ideal for individuals seeking to earn extra income while caring for dogs during overnight shifts, which run from 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The position requires a commitment of at least two overnight shifts per week, with opportunities for additional shifts. The role involves ensuring a safe, comfortable, and peaceful night for all dogs, as well as preparing the facility for the next day. Overnight shifts are generally quieter and suitable for those who prefer working independently.
Requirements
- Dependable and punctual
- Genuine love of dogs
- Comfortable around dogs of all breeds and sizes
- Able to work independently without constant supervision
- Detail-oriented and willing to stay productive throughout your shift
- Comfortable with cleaning as an important part of caring for animals
- Able to consistently commit to at least two overnight shifts each week
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with dogs, veterinary clinics, boarding facilities, pet sitting, grooming, shelters, or other animal-care environments
Responsibilities
- Supervising dogs throughout the night
- Monitoring their health, comfort, and behavior
- Feeding meals and administering medications as directed
- Cleaning and sanitizing play and sleeping areas
- Laundry and light facility cleaning
- Preparing the building for the morning team
- Reporting anything unusual to management
