About The Position

If you answered YES to either of these questions, then consider joining the Devereux team! The pay range for this position is $20.50 to $23.87 per hour depending on education and experience. The schedule for this position is Friday and Saturday 11:00pm to 9:00am. $250 bonus if MAP Certified! Devereux - Massachusetts serves students with various complex psychological, emotional, and behavioral disorders, including but not limited to Autism Spectrum Disorder. Devereux's Cathy House program serves co-ed individuals aged 5 to 12 with ASD and IDD, most of whom are non-verbal. With 1:2 staff to students ratio, this program offers a high level of individualized care. The program goal is to teach, coach, and support our individuals to learn daily living skills, coping skills, and social skills while staying active and having fun.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid driver's license required.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to attend a 2-week paid orientation, Monday to Friday, 8AM to 4PM, in Rutland, MA.
• Must be MAP certified, or able to obtain certification within 6 months of employment.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
• Previous experience working with individuals under 21 with psychological, emotional, and behavioral disorders, and/or autism spectrum disorders preferred.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the safety and security of all youth as assigned by providing direct supervision.
• Provide and ensure therapeutic interventions in a compassionate and safe environment.
• Engage with youth in a meaningful and positive manner, teaching and prompting appropriate behaviors, and providing positive reinforcement for the same.
• Teach and assist with Activities of Daily (ADL) Living Skills.
• Possess adequate organizational and communication skills needed to complete required documentation, such as progress notes and incident reports.
