Overnight Direct Support Professional - $350 bonus
About The Position
Direct Support Professionals provide support and supervision to individuals who have developmental, mental health, or physical disabilities. This role involves working with challenging behaviors and requires a passion for helping others, flexibility, dependability, and alignment with the company's core values. The position is rewarding as it allows for building relationships, participating in new experiences, and making a difference daily. The specific role is an overnight position with a 7-days-on/7-days-off schedule, working from Wednesday 9 PM to Wednesday 9 AM, with a pay breakdown for working and sleeping shifts.
Requirements
- Be 18 years or older.
- Possess a valid driver’s license.
- Have access to an insured vehicle.
- Have a clean driving record.
- Need to pass a DHS background study.
- Exhibit basic computer skills to be successful in this position.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma preferred.
- One year of experience delivering services to individuals with disabilities.
Responsibilities
- Helps to establish and keep community relationships and friendships.
- Assists individuals with daily routines including, but not limited to, household tasks, cooking and eating, individual self-care, socializing, use of leisure time, health and safety, money management and behavior management.
- Administers medications.
- Provides transportation.
- Documents services and events through an online computer program.
