Overnight Direct Care Staff
About The Position
Sevita is hiring an Overnight Direct Care Staff member to support people with developmental goals and complex needs. The role includes assisting with personal hygiene, supporting individuals who may have behavioral challenges, and helping participants grow, learn, live well, take part in their communities, and enjoy favorite activities. Staff support goals such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition while building meaningful relationships with the individuals they serve. This is a full-time overnight position with scheduled shifts that include weekends. The listed schedule alternates: one week includes 10 p.m.–8 a.m. Tuesday and Friday, plus 8 p.m.–8 a.m. every other weekend; the following week includes 10 p.m.–8 a.m. Wednesday and Thursday. The stated hire wages are $17 per hour for awake hours and $13.45 per hour for sleep hours.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; proof of education is required.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Communication, adaptability, multitasking, teamwork, and time-management skills.
- Patient, compassionate, reliable, and responsible behavior.
Nice To Haves
- Six months of experience in intellectual disabilities, behavioral health, or mental health.
- A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance are preferred.
- A driver’s license held for at least one year after the permit period and a clean driving record meeting Sevita’s insurability policy are preferred.
