Youth Mobile Crisis Intervention Services (MCIS) EMPS provides 24/7 crisis support for children and families experiencing emotional, behavioral, or situational distress. Services include crisis telephone triage and support, mobile crisis assessment and intervention, and community-based care in homes, schools, courts, and other settings. The program’s mission is to provide early intervention, stabilization, and alternatives to hospitalization while strengthening families and communities. The Crisis Clinician works on a multidisciplinary mobile crisis team, providing timely crisis support to youth and families during lower-volume overnight hours. Working independently, the clinician responds to calls, conducts risk assessments, and delivers brief crisis interventions to support safety and stabilization. The role includes autonomously managing cases while communicating with on-call supports as appropriate; documenting encounters; coordinating follow-up; and connecting clients to ongoing services when needed. The clinician also participates in quality and training systems, crisis consultations, coaching, and professional development to support high-quality crisis services. This is a per-diem position with MCIS in Middletown, Connecticut. Compensation is $30.00 per hour, dependent upon licensure; per-diem and fee-for-service positions offer a flat hourly rate.
