About The Position

Lifesteps, a local human service agency with over 100 years of experience, is seeking compassionate and caring individuals to join their Caregiving Team. This role involves working with adults with disabilities in a residential home setting in Homer City, PA. Direct Care Aides (Caregivers) will assist individuals with their daily living activities and provide home care. The position offers steady, full-time hours with available overnight shifts from 11 pm to 7 am. Part-time hours with flexible scheduling are also an option, making it suitable for supplemental income. No prior experience is necessary as paid training is provided. Experienced home health aides, nurse’s aides, support assistants, and direct support professionals are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

• 18 yrs. or older
• Ability to lift up to 200 lbs. with assistance
• Valid driver’s license/auto insurance
• Ability to obtain ACT 33/34 and FBI clearances required

Responsibilities

• Assist special needs individuals with their activities of daily living and home care.
• Provide assistance to adults with disabilities helping them with daily activities like dressing, meal preparation, bathing, and transport to doctor appointments.
