About The Position
The Overnight Caregiver supports people with developmental goals and complex needs, helping them grow, learn, and live well. The role involves building meaningful relationships, supporting participants’ community involvement and preferred activities, and assisting with personal hygiene. Caregivers may support individuals with behavioral challenges. The posted schedule is overnight, 8 p.m. to 8 a.m., on rotating nights, at the Paris, Texas site. The pay rate is $10.00 per hour, with opportunities for approved overtime.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.
- Current driver's license with one year of driving history without restrictions.
- Communication, adaptability, multitasking, teamwork, and time-management skills.
- Patient, compassionate, reliable, and responsible demeanor.
Nice To Haves
- Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Help participants grow, learn, and live well.
- Develop meaningful relationships with the individuals served.
- Take initiative to help participants participate in the community and enjoy their favorite activities.
- Support participants with developmental goals such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
- Assist people with personal hygiene.
- Support individuals who may have behavioral challenges and other complex needs.
