About The Position

Join our team as an Overnight Care Professional providing attentive, non-medical care to an elderly client currently living in an assisted living facility located in Bluffton. At Dawson and Dawson, our overnight caregivers are the backbone of our 24-hour care model. You'll bring peace of mind to families knowing their loved ones are safe, comfortable, and well-cared for through every hour of the night. Available Overnight Shifts: 7PM – 7AM 8PM – 8AM Shift differentials offered on a case-by-case basis. Base rate determined by experience.

Requirements

• Genuine availability and reliability for overnight shifts — this role requires you to be alert and engaged throughout the night
• Previous caregiver experience required
• Ability to stay calm, focused, professional, and responsive during nighttime hours and in emergency situations
• Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to providing excellent care
• Strong communication skills, judgment, professionalism, and an ability to document and report overnight observations clearly

Responsibilities

• Monitor client safety, comfort, and well being throughout the night, responding promptly to any needs that arise
• Provide attentive overnight care and support, including assistance with grooming, dressing, bathing, and activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Deliver compassionate, specialized care for an elderly Dementia client who currently resides in an assisted living facility
• Issue medication reminders in accordance with each client's prescribed nighttime schedule
• Accurately document all overnight care services, including care notes, ADLs, and any incident or change-of-condition reports
