About The Position

Join the founding team to support a new employer-sponsored 24-hour onsite child care client center and help build the high-quality program children deserve while pursuing your own professional growth and development. As an Assistant Teacher, you will: * Support the Head Teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment * Assist with implementation of a developmentally appropriate curriculum through play, exploration, and daily routines * Help maintain compliance with state licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and ratio requirements * Supervise children and support daily activities including meals, rest time, and transitions * Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members * Support classroom organization, cleanliness, and documentation as required * Step into classroom coverage as needed to maintain proper ratios

Requirements

Enjoy working with young children and supporting their growth and development
Meet or eligible to meet state requirements for child care staff in a licensed program
Willing to complete required background checks and pre-service training in accordance with state regulations
Demonstrate reliability, teamwork, and a positive attitude
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Independent US work authorization
Based in or willing to relocate to Huntsville, Alabama

Nice To Haves

Experience in early childhood education or a related field (preferred but not required, depending on state guidelines)
