The Overhead Lineworker Grade C is the entry rating held by an employee during the period he or she is acquiring the necessary knowledge and experience required to progress through the established Overhead Lineworker ratings. Overhead Lineworkers assist in the installation, removal, inspection and repair of overhead plant and apparatus at heights not in excess of 35 feet above ground. The Overhead Lineworker Grade C will learn specifications, procedures and requirements relating to work on overhead lines and various types of overhead circuits. Successful candidate will be required to successfully complete a Company administered Overhead Lineworker School. The school lasts approximately five to six weeks and is held at our Wareham, MA location. After completing the line school, you will then spend the next three months in field training at the Walpole, Waltham, Wareham, or Yarmouth locations (location to be determined by seniority/availability). After the three months of field training, you will then be assigned a permanent location. This location will be determined by availability and seniority. Potential locations could be: Plymouth, Yarmouth, New Bedford, Walpole, Waltham, or Somerville.
