About The Position

This position involves operating a crane under general supervision, adhering to safety procedures, and performing daily inspections and preventative maintenance. The role also requires accurate completion of job tickets and other necessary paperwork. The operator will be responsible for identifying and reporting any malfunctioning parts and performing other duties as assigned by supervisors or managers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid crane operator certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating a crane.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Responsibilities

• Operate crane under general supervision.
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines.
• Inspect crane for safety issues on a daily basis.
• Determine if any parts are malfunctioning.
• Complete job tickets, service quality summaries, and all other necessary paperwork.
• Perform preventative maintenance.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
