About The Position

Hight Electric is seeking experienced and safety-focused Over-the-Road (OTR) CDL Class A Drivers to join our growing team. Drivers will operate company equipment to transport freight throughout Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Kentucky, and various Midwest states. This position typically consists of 3–4 round trips per week, depending on freight demand and operational needs. The ideal candidate is dependable, professional, and committed to providing safe and timely transportation services while maintaining compliance with all DOT regulations and company policies.

Requirements

Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
Current Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements required.
Ability to meet DOT physical and drug testing requirements.
Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and customer service.

Nice To Haves

Minimum 2 years of port driving experience preferred.
Flatbed experience preferred (experience with both hazardous and non-hazardous freight is a plus).

Responsibilities

Safely operate commercial vehicles in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies.
Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of equipment.
Transport and deliver freight safely and on schedule.
Load, secure, and unload cargo as required.
Maintain accurate electronic logs (ELDs) and transportation records.
Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and operations personnel.
Ensure freight documentation is complete and accurate.
Report equipment issues, accidents, incidents, or delays promptly.
Attend required safety meetings, trainings, and company events.
Maintain a professional appearance and represent the company positively at customer locations.
Follow all safety regulations and company procedures at all times.
