About The Position

OTR Drivers for Jacam Catalyst, LLC will drive a dedicated route, transporting Hazmat chemicals to company locations regionally and across the United States. Safely and responsibly maintain all equipment required to perform job functions.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Must possess a Class A CDL with Hazmat, Tanker and Airbrake endorsements
  • Possess a current Medical Examiner’s Certification
  • Required ability to read maps and follow driving directions
  • Have basic computer skills. Efficiently navigate a web browser, follow online instructions, type and use a mouse.
  • Meet internal and external commitments, respond promptly to customer needs, and solicit customer feedback to improve service.
  • Be dependable, trustworthy, truthful, and credible in the workplace. Display a sincere desire to provide service or assistance, follow instructions, and take responsibility for own actions. Show a commitment to doing the best job possible.
  • Lift and carry 100 pounds in various packaging. Tip and move 55 gallon drums, weighing up to 600 pounds, with the use of a drum dolly.
  • Comply with all Federal, State, and Local laws
  • Have the ability to read, write and speak in English fluently
  • Adhere to guidelines, policies, and procedures as described in the Jacam handbook
  • Adhere to Jacam’s Drug and Alcohol policy and agree to submit to random drug testing as a condition of employment

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 2 years’ previous oilfield experience hauling hazardous chemicals
  • Forklift certification required
  • mechanical aptitude helpful

Responsibilities

  • Must adhere to the US Department of Transportation regulations regarding the safe operation of the company vehicle.
  • Transport and deliver freight over the road over long distances in a safe, efficient, timely and legal manner.
  • Hook and unhook trailers; secure freight; install and remove tire chains as required by weather, tarp and un-tarp freight if operating flatbeds.
  • Load and unload trailers and perform lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying freight.
  • Must ensure the vehicle is properly labeled with safety placards to ensure DOT compliance.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork and maintain records required under state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Ensure that all operations are in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Perform routine inspection and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment and refer defects/repairs to company personnel.
  • Represent the company and the trucking industry in a professional manner.
  • Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections of company vehicle and equipment.
