About The Position

Levin Furniture and Mattress is hiring Over the Road (OTR) Drivers in Smithton, Pennsylvania. The position involves safely operating company-owned vehicles and delivering loads in compliance with traffic laws and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Drivers may be required to unload equipment and must keep vehicles and DOT records in good condition and up to standard. The schedule may vary based on business needs and DOT-regulated driving restrictions, and the role requires 100% travel. Starting rate is $22.20.

Requirements

Valid Class A CDL and a clean driving record.
High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills.
Basic reading and comprehension skills.
Basic numerical reasoning skills.
Ability to complete DOT-certified paperwork neatly and efficiently in accordance with DOT regulations.
Excellent customer service skills.
Pass a DOT-certified physical, renewed every two years unless otherwise indicated by the physician.
Meet Vehicle Safety Policy standards and maintain all requirements for keeping a Class A CDL.
Ability to operate Class A certified equipment.
Ability to bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and repeatedly lift equipment legs and cartons weighing approximately 50–100+ pounds.

Responsibilities

Perform pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections in accordance with DOT regulations.
Complete daily vehicle inspection reports and trip records, and submit logs as required.
Safely operate company-owned vehicles.
Deliver loads safely and securely to their destinations while complying with traffic laws.
Unload equipment when required.
Maintain equipment in good working condition in accordance with the Vehicle Safety Policy.
Communicate professionally and promptly with internal and external personnel.
Report equipment defects using the vehicle inspection report and maintenance line.
Complete paperwork neatly and promptly, maintaining DOT records according to DOT standards.
Complete required driver training.
Perform other duties as assigned.
