About The Position

The OutSystems Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying web and mobile applications using the OutSystems platform. This role involves creating scalable and maintainable application components, integrating with various systems, and ensuring application quality and performance. The developer will collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders in an Agile environment, ensuring solutions meet security and compliance standards. This position is key to accelerating business solutions, improving operational efficiency, and supporting the firm's digital transformation initiatives.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
3–5 years of software development experience, including hands-on experience building and deploying applications with OutSystems.
Strong understanding of OutSystems Service Studio.
Strong understanding of OutSystems Integration Studio.
Strong understanding of OutSystems Application lifecycle management.
Strong understanding of Web application architecture.
Experience working with REST APIs and API Connectors.
Experience working with SQL and relational databases.
Experience working with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

OutSystems Developer Certification.
Experience within the Insurance, Risk Management, Brokerage, or Financial Services industries.
Experience with Azure services and cloud-based application development.
Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Git, and automated deployments.
Experience developing customer-facing portals or workflow-driven business applications.
Experience with Microsoft Power Platform technologies: Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven Apps), Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse.
Integration with Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, and Teams.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and deploy web and mobile applications using the OutSystems platform.
Create scalable, maintainable, and reusable application components that align with architectural standards.
Translate business requirements and functional specifications into technical solutions.
Enhance and maintain existing applications while ensuring optimal performance and user experience.
Develop integrations with internal and external systems using REST APIs.
Work with SQL databases and data models to support application functionality and reporting needs.
Integrate applications with Microsoft technologies, SharePoint, Azure services, and third-party platforms as required.
Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.
Troubleshoot and resolve application defects and production issues.
Monitor application performance and implement improvements where necessary.
Maintain technical documentation, deployment procedures, and support materials.
Partner with business analysts, product owners, and stakeholders to understand business objectives.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, reviews, and retrospectives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions on schedule.
Ensure solutions comply with organizational security standards and regulatory requirements.
Follow established development, release, and governance processes.
