Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in the service department of the trucking industry.
  • Technician experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Must exhibit leadership qualities.
  • Must exhibit teamwork qualities.
  • Able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Shows Initiative.
  • Must be able to pass post offer drug test, and physical.

Responsibilities

  • Prospecting and generating Service Revenue for the Service Department.
  • Developing and maintaining excellent customer relationships with existing clients, including large fleet customers.
  • Managing repair expectations for assigned customers to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Providing immediate service to trucks to maintain customer relationships.
  • Spending more than 50% of time outside the office engaging in the selling of Freightliner products.
  • Developing and maintaining a thorough knowledge of Daimler products and pricing.
  • Identifying leads, managing prospects, and acquiring new business.
  • Meeting or exceeding business sales goals.
  • Completing prospecting activities to secure first and follow-up appointments with decision-makers.
  • Scheduling and documenting activities.
  • Preparing and delivering proposals/presentations to customers and key decision-makers.
  • Preparing and drafting sales agreements and other paperwork needed to complete the sale in a timely manner.
  • Developing and maintaining an awareness of market behavior and competitive trends and responding accordingly.
  • Regularly meeting with supervisor and service managers to review weekly sales activities, progress on goals, and status of prospective customers.
  • Maintaining excellent customer service standards.
  • Resolving customer complaints and providing conflict resolution to customers.
  • Visiting customers to provide and maintain excellent customer relations.
