Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Technical Sales Specialist is a key member of the Galloup sales team. In the Technical Sales Specialist position, the individual is responsible for outside customer sales and sales satisfaction through direct contact, phone, or other electronic communications. Sales functions include territory management, customer interaction activities, prospecting for new customers, contract/pricing negotiations, product presentation, inventory management, uncovering needs and closing sales. Individual will be placed in an established account base and will be encouraged to achieve sales and margin objectives. Individual will be responsible for developing and maintaining customer relationships through the promotion of our Fluid Handling Products (Pumps, Valves, Heat Exchangers, Homogenizers, etc.) cleaning systems (CIP and COP) and instruments. Primary markets include Food & Beverage, Pharmaceutical, Personal Care, OEM’s, Industrial and Mechanical sectors.

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience in sales
  • Bachelor’s degree, technical degree, or equivalent combination of skills and experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to learn business/distribution software package
  • 2 years of experience utilizing ERP systems
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to multi-task and shift priorities as needed
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, continuously evolving, and at times ambiguous environment
  • Ability to communicate well with all levels of the organization
  • Excellent presentation skills and ability to boil down large datasets into actionable information
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Frequent sitting, driving, and getting in and out of a vehicle
  • Ability to see, talk and hear
  • Ability to sit for 8 hours a day
  • Must be able to travel up to 30% of the time
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver's license
