About The Position

Western States Envelope and Label Company, a leader in the industry for over 115 years, is seeking a motivated Outside Sales Representative to drive growth in the Greater Quad Cities, IA area. This role focuses on developing and maintaining client relationships and increasing revenue in Label and Envelope Sales. The company provides comprehensive training, tools, and support, emphasizing a career path with longevity, stability, and mentorship. The position involves identifying new business opportunities, managing accounts, and driving sales in a recession-resistant industry. The company has five production facilities across the US, ensuring manufacturing support.

Requirements

  • Reside in the Quad Cities metro area.
  • Possess a "hunter" mentality and a desire to build a lucrative career in outside sales.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills and can build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
  • Likely have 5 years or less of professional experience.
  • Six-month training period.
  • Must be willing to relocate to Milwaukee, WI, for training, or a combination of home and traveling to Milwaukee for the duration of training.
  • Valid US driver's license, personal vehicle, great driving record, and insurable.
  • Computer Literacy Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to travel almost daily within your territory for face-to-face client contact.
  • Relevant prior outside sales experience or recent graduate with a Sales-focused degree.
  • Strong negotiation and listening skills.
  • Must live within the Quad Cities territory.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and target potential clients within your assigned territory.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through regular communication and in-person meetings.
  • Present, demonstrate and become a subject matter expert for our existing and prospective clients.
  • Build and price quotations for customer orders.
  • Negotiate contracts and close sales deals.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support throughout the sales process.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
  • Collaborate with our production facilities to ensure seamless order fulfillment and client satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales records and reports.
