Requirements

  • 3+ years of outside sales experience (industrial, manufacturing, metals, or distribution preferred)
  • Comfortable selling to technical and operational stakeholders
  • Strong relationship‑building and communication skills
  • Organized, dependable, and strong in follow‑through
  • Ability to discuss technical concepts without being an engineer

Responsibilities

  • Build strong partnerships with manufacturers, fabricators, and OEMs
  • Spend time in customer facilities learning processes and needs
  • Sell solutions, not commodities—focused on reliability, lead time, and total cost
  • Manage and grow a defined territory with existing and target accounts
  • Develop account plans, manage pipeline, and follow up with discipline
  • Collaborate closely with inside sales, operations, and leadership
  • Communicate customer requirements and market trends internally
