About The Position

SITECH Eastern Canada Ltd. is seeking an Outside Sales Representative for their Burlington location. As Canada's largest dealer for Trimble construction equipment, SITECH specializes in applying Trimble technology to solve customer challenges in the civil engineering and construction sectors. The role involves working with 2D/3D Grade Control technology, Heavy Equipment, Construction Software Solutions, and Site Positioning Survey Equipment. Technology Representatives are responsible for consulting with customers in an assigned territory to improve their business success, increase hardware and service sales, manage customer lists, attend trade shows, develop quote proposals, and provide ongoing sales support to ensure high customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Post-Secondary degree in Geomatics, Engineering, Construction Management and/or Electronics would be preferred, but any Post-Secondary education will be given consideration.
  • Field experience in Civil Construction & Engineering, familiarity with construction processes and technology.
  • Experience with GPS/GNSS RTK survey solutions, survey theory and heavy equipment.
  • Sales experience in the construction industry.
  • Post-secondary education.
  • Effective Communication Skills.
  • Positive Attitude.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior customer service and/or sales experience is considered an asset.
  • Experienced with construction technologies and software, such as Trimble, Topcon, Leica, Spectra, a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Re-establish, qualify and maintain contact with customers to increase sales.
  • Proactively generate service and equipment sales leads and manage accounts in an assigned territory through weekly communication.
  • Employ a disciplined call campaign, update customer account information and develop relationships to maintain accurate account and machine profiles.
  • Promote all aspects of the Dealership.
  • Prospect new business within the assigned territory and qualify opportunities.
  • Determine customer requirements through needs analysis and provide solutions.
  • Develop customer quotes and tenders from recommendations made by Technicians and assist with quotes for new contracts.
  • Maintain Quote Log System ensuring timely and accurate sales information is provided.
  • Administer sales processes and systems including call reports, weekly call plans and other administrative duties in support of the business.
  • Assist with the development and administration of the annual territory plans and focus account plans for marketing programs targeted to prospective customers.
  • Ensure all sales tools and market intelligence remain current and develop new tools to increase product exposure.
  • Establish attainable monthly and yearly objectives intended to reinforce continuous improvement and achievement toward Company goals.
  • Assist in the collection of outstanding customer payments and facilitate resolutions/agreements.
  • Participate in appropriate training and development and attend industry association events.
