About The Position

Responsible for generating new business through proactive outside sales activities, including in-person cold calls and client visits, and growing existing accounts in all lines of business for new and/or existing customers. Prospects and develops new client relationships in line with identified company priorities, with a significant focus on in-person engagement. Develops and improves relationships to drive increased market share and sales opportunities through consistent field presence and customer interaction.

Requirements

  • Solid sales skills and ability to uncover effective customer solutions
  • Solid teamwork skills
  • Shows initiative – engages in proactive behavior and looks for opportunities
  • Very adaptable – responds effectively to changes in situation or information; ability to influence others and build consensus using good written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic Microsoft Outlook, Project, Excel, Word and Power Point skills
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of three years of previous account development, outside sales or relevant experience preferred
  • Experience in logistics, supply chain, freight and/or transportation industry.

Responsibilities

  • Drive growth through active networking, cold calling, and scheduled client visits.
  • Develop tailored logistics solutions for new and existing customers using a consultative sales approach.
  • Manage current accounts through excellent service and regular on-site visits.
  • Prepare and deliver pricing proposals and roll out new customer initiatives.
  • Document all sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline progress in company systems.
