About The Position

Quikrete, the leading producer of packaged concrete and related products, is looking for an Outside Sales Representative for the greater Porter, TX market. This position will be responsible for calling on contractors and dealers in the masonry and stucco supply channel as well as working with architects and engineers on product specification. We are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates professionalism, and a commitment to learn the role and operate successfully in a team environment. Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in sales or marketing (construction materials industry preferred).
  • Valid driver’s license and an acceptable motor vehicle record.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 80 lbs as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to and promote safety policies across all work environments, ensuring all tasks are performed safely and in compliance with site guidelines.
  • Develop and execute sales plans, identify and pursue leads, and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Prepare proposals, contracts, and presentations while tracking projects, bids, and accounts.
  • Manage pricing, credit terms, and assist with collections and issue resolution.
  • Monitor market data (pricing, share, job outcomes) to support pricing strategies.
  • Track project pipelines, including early-stage opportunities, and report on wins/losses.
  • Conduct site visits to assess needs, and coordinate with operations to ensure product availability and timely delivery.
  • Create and implement account strategies to grow and protect business.
  • Communicate market feedback and new opportunities internally.
  • Address product issues with customers, working collaboratively to resolve concerns and maintain satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with credit, operations, and internal teams to manage contracts, pricing accuracy, deliveries, and customer issues.
  • Provide accurate forecasts, backlog updates, and activity reports aligned with goals.
  • Utilize computer systems for communication, quoting, reporting, and contract management.
