About The Position

Mercaso is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to join its new San Diego division. This role is pivotal in growing the customer base throughout San Diego by prospecting and establishing relationships with convenience and small grocery store owners, with the ultimate goal of converting them into customers. The ideal candidate will have strong route sales or food/grocery sales experience, be enthusiastic, possess a “no fear” attitude, and share Mercaso’s hunger to serve customers.

Requirements

• 2+ years of route sales and/or food/grocery sales experience
• Ability to manage a full sales cycle from introduction to closing the deal
• Must maintain a valid Driver’s License and automobile insurance coverage per the Company’s specified requirements
• Must be able to lift products from 20lb to 35lb on a regular basis
• Must be punctual and have reliable automobile transportation
• Excellent communication and social skills, with the ability to persuasively communicate recommendations and efficiently champion customer needs
• Prior experience cold calling
• Well organized and able to keep track of visits and calls and follow up with customers as promised
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to run a presentation from start to end

Responsibilities
