About The Position

Pioneer Truss, located in Owensville, MO, is looking to grow our Sales team in the Kansas City Market! Our Sales Reps are expected to provide a high level of service for our customers with a strong working knowledge of the truss design and manufacturing process. This position's focus is selling truss systems to various clients, including residential, commercial, and agricultural sectors.

Requirements

• Ability to read architectural plans and blueprints
• Effective interpersonal skills and communication skills
• Ability to organize, prioritize time and work efficiently
• Ability to anticipate problems and resolve them before they become problems for our customer.
• Ability to effectively communicate with team members and customers both orally and in writing
• Valid Driver’s License
• Frequent travel to customer locations and construction sites, which may involve walking, standing, and moving around uneven terrain.
• Occasionally lifting and carrying materials or samples, typically up to 60lbs.
• Ability to handle and manipulate small tools and materials.
• Good vision for reading blueprints, technical drawings, and computer screens.
• Exposure to various weather conditions when visiting construction sites.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots when on-site.

Responsibilities

• Promote and sell truss systems to new and existing customers.
• Conduct pricing and estimating for truss projects.
• Respond to customer inquiries and provide technical support.
• Expedite orders efficiently and courteously.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Understand building code requirements and ensure compliance.
• Travel to customer locations and construction sites.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Resolve customer complaints and issues promptly.
• Other duties as assigned.
