Outside Sales (T2), Fire & Industrial Equipment (Commission Only)
About The Position
Allied Fire Sales & Service is seeking an outside sales representative to cover the US-31 corridor from South Bend to Kokomo. This role focuses on developing business with municipal fire departments and standalone EMS agencies within an assigned territory. The representative will be responsible for specifying, quoting, and closing sales for a range of fire and emergency equipment, including SCBA, turnout gear, breathing-air systems, extractors, hose, foam, and lighting. The position is commission-only and requires the representative to manage their own vehicle and expenses. The territory includes eight counties and approximately 61 fire departments, with a focus on municipal fire and EMS, and standalone EMS agencies.
Requirements
- Outside sales to fire, EMS, or municipal equipment buyers
- Ability to live in Plymouth, Rochester, Logansport, Mishawaka, or South Bend
- Ability to cover South Bend to Kokomo in a single workday
- Comfort with 1099 compensation and a 9–12 month ramp
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
Nice To Haves
- Prior SCBA, turnout, ambulance, or municipal-bid experience
Responsibilities
- Own the eight-county municipal book on a US-31 weekly rhythm
- Specify, quote, and close Dräger SCBA, turnout, air, extractors, hose, foam, and lighting
- Treat South Bend–area departments and Kokomo Fire as the two required metros
- Call Cass County EMS and Community Howard EMS for ambulance lighting, uniforms, and related equipment
- Support municipal specifications and bid responses
- Maintain CRM, forecast, and pipeline
