About The Position

We are seeking a driven, entrepreneurial Outside Sales Representative with experience in the climate control rental industry to establish and grow our business in the Greater Boston region. This role is for a "hunter" who excels at breaking into new markets, identifying opportunities, and building new customer relationships. The representative will be responsible for developing the Greater Boston territory, targeting customers in construction, commercial, industrial, mechanical/HVAC, restoration, and events industries that require temporary climate control solutions. The day-to-day will involve prospecting, visiting job sites, networking, identifying projects, building relationships with decision-makers, and creating a sales pipeline. As the first salesperson in Boston, this individual will have the opportunity to shape the market strategy, identify key customer segments, and build foundational relationships for future growth. The ideal candidate thrives with autonomy, is comfortable with cold outreach, and is motivated by building business and winning customers. They will have the freedom to manage the territory independently, supported by the company's equipment, resources, expertise, and organizational support.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of proven success in sales or business development roles, with a focus on strategic growth and customer engagement in the equipment rental or related industries (construction, oil & gas, industrial or ag equipment manufacturing, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities with experience in forecasting, pricing, and financial modeling.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and project management tools.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings, trade shows, and industry events.

Responsibilities

  • Scout and pursue new project opportunities through research, outreach, conferences, and digital platforms.
  • Forge lasting relationships with potential and existing clients to unlock long-term value.
  • Design and execute business development initiatives aligned with our growth goals.
  • Craft compelling pricing proposals and contracts, and support executive teams during deal negotiations.
  • Collaborate with finance and operations teams to monitor project performance and continuously improve outcomes.
  • Coordinate promotional efforts to amplify product visibility and customer engagement.
  • Attend trade shows and industry events to keep a pulse on market trends and build brand presence.
  • Partner with internal teams to deliver product demos, customer training, and smooth onboarding experiences.
