Outside Sales Representative - St Joseph Territory
About The Position
Culligan Water of St. Joseph Missouri, a leader in water treatment since 1936, is expanding its residential sales force in the St. Joe, MO area. We are seeking motivated sales professionals to join our growing local company, selling and renting top-tier water treatment equipment. With a substantial existing customer base in St. Joseph, there is significant potential for growth. While no prior water industry experience is needed, previous sales experience is advantageous. The ideal candidate is a professional, self-starting individual with initiative and intuition. Comprehensive training will be provided to equip you to assess customer needs and recommend suitable water treatment solutions. This role involves developing new clientele and nurturing relationships with existing customers for direct residential sales and rentals of water softeners, reverse osmosis systems, and whole house filters. Additional duties include self-generating leads, adhering to company credit policies, and providing feedback on lead generation activities to the sales manager.
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED required
- Valid driver’s license
- Consistently present a polished, professional appearance
- Must be able to lift at least 50lbs.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Three years of sales experience is preferred, but not required
- Experience in the trades
- Pro-grade customer service skills and best practices
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
Responsibilities
- Analyze customers’ current water quality and offer solutions to address and improve specific needs
- Build solid, long-term relationships with customers
- Communicate consistently and effectively with management, service/installation teams, and customer service departments
- Regularly seek out and generate additional business opportunities to support your dealership
- Report sales activities/updates on a daily and weekly basis
