The Outside Sales Representative will develop a technical knowledge of the products offered, equipment capabilities, company capabilities, and product applications. This role involves managing the relationship between the company and customers by establishing and cultivating relationships with key individuals within accounts. The representative will meet goals consistent with the strategic direction of the territory, district, and company. They will develop relationships with prospects and customers to understand their specific needs and business personality, and maintain positive internal customer relationships with operations, credit, accounting, logistics, inside sales, and management team members. The role requires effective communication of strategies to appropriate business unit personnel for support and coordination, and the development and utilization of standard business practices including pricing, forecasting, distribution, and code of ethics. Sales initiatives will be planned and carried out to agreed budgets, sales volumes, values, product mix, and time frames. The representative will be responsible for meeting and exceeding assigned goals, and effectively communicating activities, opportunities, business cases, and other strategic information about prospective and current clients. This position requires being an exemplary representative of the company, with other duties as assigned.
