About The Position

The Outside Sales Representative identifies potential and existing customers to show how our capabilities and products can solve their unique problems. This role focuses on exploring new markets and growth opportunities for Prescott Metal, EAM, and Tee Enterprises, emphasizing our technological capabilities and expertise. The representative will connect new customers with our manufacturing solutions and work to expand our capabilities into new markets.

Requirements

  • Excellent active-listening skills.
  • At least four years demonstrated track record of success in sales and marketing.
  • At least two years of experience in industrial/manufacturing/custom sheet metal and tubular steel frame sales.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Persuasive presentation abilities.
  • Strong talent for writing clear proposals and reports.
  • Analytical aptitude, with the ability to make quick, calculated decisions and recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Excellent cross functional interpersonal skills.
  • Consistently displays a positive, cooperative, self-motivated, and professional attitude.
  • Personal drive and motivation, including competitive spirit, ability to overcome obstacles, strong sense of accountability, action orientation, flexibility, and situational adaptability.
  • Ability to foster positive relationships with customers, vendors, clients, and coworkers.
  • Demonstrates attention to detail and project management skills.
  • Experience with MS Office products including MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Experience with value-based sales methodologies (how our customer perceives what Prescott Metal provides/what does the customer get when they hire Prescott Metal).
  • Willingness to travel 25%-50% of the time, when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Explore new markets and growth opportunities for Prescott Metal, EAM, and Tee Enterprises focusing on our technological capabilities and our expertise.
  • Connect new customers with our manufacturing solutions.
  • Identify potential and existing customers to show how our capabilities and products can solve their unique problems.
  • Expand our capabilities to new markets.
  • Gather competitive intelligence, generate reports, establish, and measure a system for determining competitive market advantage.
  • Create awareness with prospective customers by promoting our company’s history, our company’s quality reputation, and our company’s experience with custom fabrication.
  • Secure new agreements by contacting the appropriate management and decision makers within the prospective organization and leveraging how our manufacturing capabilities will solve problems for them.
  • Attend industry forums, trade shows, and other events for awareness of industry opportunities.
  • Build trust and develop key relationships with prospective customers to discover what they need.
  • Search for partnership opportunities with other companies.
  • Assess customer requests for products and make appropriate recommendations based on needs and applications.
  • Apply your Prescott Metal production knowledge to entice new customers which will assist the Inside Sales/Estimators in closing deals.
  • Collaborate, help develop, and update the Strategic Marketing Plan for new clients, new regions, and new channels of distribution.
  • Establish a list of potential customers to approach.
  • Write and publish webpage blogs showing how our expertise, knowledge and experience is beneficial to new clients.
  • Proactively participate in the weekly management meetings.
  • Come prepared to talk about new opportunities and related topics.
  • Update the management team on business development progress.
  • Act as a leader in problem resolution and the promotion of positive feedback to the entire management/production teams.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Design, Production, and Shipping.
