About The Position

The Outside Sales Representative serves as the primary external point of contact for our customers, focusing on identifying and developing sales opportunities. This role is responsible for fostering strong relationships, managing customer accounts, and acting as a bridge between customers and our organization.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar sales role.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing and hydronic supplies.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily customer interactions, including calls and face-to-face meetings.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with both new and existing customers.
  • Educate customers on product offerings and how they provide financial and professional benefits.
  • Promote and sell company products and services.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to better understand customer needs.
  • Provide ongoing support to customers by addressing inquiries, assisting with orders, and offering product recommendations.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with customers to support both their immediate and long-term needs.
  • Direct sourcing requests to the appropriate internal departments, including Inside Sales, Bid Specification, Project Management, and Heating.
  • Support customers by handling order entry, product sourcing, and follow-ups.
  • Review daily reports to verify pricing accuracy before order billing.
  • Collaborate with Accounts Receivable to resolve credit issues and pricing discrepancies.
  • Engage with vendors to coordinate product training sessions for customers.
  • Source products and negotiate pricing as required.
