The Outside Sales Representative will manage and grow installer customer sales within their assigned territory, focusing on building and maintaining relationships, meeting sales growth plans, and serving as the primary point of contact for customers. This role involves communicating promotions, discussing growth strategies, resolving customer issues, assisting with accounts receivable, facilitating product training, and identifying solutions to help customers grow their businesses. The position requires daily travel within the territory and collaboration with branch managers and inside sales representatives to ensure customer service expectations are met.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience in outside sales-related roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a similar role.
  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • Comfortable with customer-facing interactions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Strong negotiation experience.
  • Relationship building.
  • Strong customer service philosophy.
  • Proven track record of achieving aggressive growth.

  • CRM experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.

  • Automotive aftermarket experience strongly preferred.
  • Dealership relationship management and sales experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow installer customer sales in the assigned area of responsibility.
  • Build and maintain installer customer relationships.
  • Manage a book of business to meet and exceed sales growth plans.
  • Serve as the primary face of NMG to installer customers.
  • Communicate promotional sales initiatives.
  • Discuss category growth strategies with customers.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve customer concerns and issues.
  • Assist with accounts receivable.
  • Facilitate product training.
  • Communicate product line additions.
  • Assist with solutions that NMG can offer to grow and develop the customer’s business.
  • Implement sales plans to achieve sales targets.
  • Achieve weekly customer visit count expectations.
  • Conduct scheduled weekly meetings with branch managers for locations within the OSR’s book of business.
  • Establish and maintain an installer book of business that meets and exceeds year over year sales targets.
  • Utilize CRM to record visit interactions.
  • Analyze CRM sales data to identify category opportunities to grow customer base.
  • Prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals, coordinated in the CRM system.
  • Canvas new business opportunities and facilitate the new account set up process.
  • Identify and resolve customer concerns or complaints to restore or improve customer satisfaction.
  • Meet company expectations for weekly customer visits.
  • Communicate company promotions, sales initiatives, and business development programs to the customer base.
  • Work directly with the Regional Manager to develop monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales plans.
  • Achieve individual monthly, quarterly, and annual goals or sales plans as assigned.
  • Work as a partner with Branch Managers and Inside Sales Representatives to ensure customer service expectations are met.
  • Work with customers to achieve a minimum of 50% of assigned revenue processed through the Transend online ordering system.
