About The Position

At SSI, you’ll represent PDQPOS—our industry-leading, Point of Sale (POS) and payment platform that helps merchants simplify checkout, streamline operations, and grow their business. As an Outside Sales Representative, you’ll be responsible for prospecting, presenting, relationship-building, and closing sales of PDQPOS and related technology solutions to small and mid-sized merchants across restaurant, retail, and service industries. You’ll manage the full sales cycle—from lead generation and outreach to conducting in-person and virtual product demos and finalizing contracts—within a fast-moving, high-energy environment. Your mission: help business owners modernize their operations, improve customer experiences, and drive growth through innovative POS and payment technology.

Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Valid driver’s license with ability to travel locally up to 75% of the time.
  • Ability to travel nationwide for trade shows a few times annually.
  • Must reside within the area of the job posting.
  • Background check and drug screening required per company policy.
  • Must have documentation to prove eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Working knowledge of CRM systems
  • Self-motivated, self-reliant, and driven by lofty sales goals with a proven ability to meet/exceed quotas
  • Ability to overcome obstacles
  • Excellent relationship-building abilities with strong and dynamic verbal and written communication skills
  • Results driven individual with entrepreneurial mindset and can-do attitude
  • Must pass a pre-employment background screening
  • At least two years of sales experience required.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in restaurant and/or retail environments a plus.
  • High school diploma or GED (college degree preferred).
  • Two or more years of B2B, SaaS, or POS sales experience.
  • POS experience highly recommended
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Administration, or related field, OR Comparable record of sales experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Sell PDQPOS to small and mid-sized merchants.
  • Prospect new clients through networking, referrals, and community partnerships.
  • Conduct engaging product presentations and live demos showcasing how PDQPOS simplifies payment processing, inventory management, and customer engagement.
  • Partner with your manager to identify opportunities, set appointments, and close deals within a short sales cycle.
  • Maintain accurate client records and pipeline activity in SalesPad CRM systems.
  • Upsell and cross-sell existing clients on additional SSI services.
  • Stay up to date on POS and fintech industry trends to position yourself as a trusted advisor.
  • Participate in weekly team meetings and one-on-one coaching sessions with leadership.
