About The Position

Intercity Packers Ltd. is seeking a full-time Outside Sales Representative for its Richmond location. This role is crucial for improving the company's market position and achieving financial growth by defining long-term strategic goals. The Sales Representative will also provide relief coverage for other sales staff during absences and support key functions within the business. The ideal candidate is self-driven, flexible, and passionate about customer service within a growing, innovative business.

Requirements

3+ years of proven Sales Experience.
Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related discipline preferred, or other sales-related experience.
Valid driver’s license, consistent access to a vehicle, and ability to travel as part of the job function.
Strategic thinking, relentless attitude, and commitment to sales activity.
Leadership and Management Skills and ambition to grow to a management position
Analytical skills to build various business development action plans and growth strategies.
Thorough knowledge and ongoing awareness of current sales and business development concepts and practices.
Proficiency with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Hangout, Slides) and Microsoft Office (Excel).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Protein industry experience is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

Develop coverage plans and action items with other Sales Representatives to ensure attainment of company sales goals and objectives.
Prospect new business opportunities during time in the trade to help support strategic growth and penetrate new markets.
Build relationships with all clients in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction and retention and represent the best interests of Intercity Packers in all internal and external dealings.
Maintain contact with all Sales Representatives to ensure core understanding of market trends and customer initiatives.
Improve knowledge and understanding of the fresh-cut meat and seafood production industry within the BC Market.
Travel may be required as needed for coverage.
Perform any other duties as required.
