About The Position

The Outside Sales Representative will play a key role in achieving and exceeding sales goals by promoting Allometrics’ calibration, repair, validation, and compliance solutions. This role will work closely with operations, customer service, and management teams to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term account growth and will report to the National Sales and Marketing Manager.

Requirements

  • Proven outside sales experience preferred, particularly within industrial, technical, manufacturing, service-based, or calibration-related industries.
  • Experience in calibration, metrology, instrumentation, or technical service sales is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to learn technical service offerings and effectively communicate value to customers.
  • Experience selling into pharmaceutical, petrochemical, manufacturing, biomedical, aerospace, or industrial markets preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Ability to travel regularly within assigned territory.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales or account management experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong relationship-building and consultative sales abilities.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities effectively.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.

Responsibilities

  • Business Development & Lead Generation: Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers within the manufacturing, pharmaceutical, petrochemical, environmental, aerospace, biomedical, and industrial sectors. Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, referrals, trade shows, and customer visits. Prospect and qualify leads to determine customer needs and business potential. Develop strategic account plans to grow territory revenue and market share.
  • Outside Sales Activities: Conduct onsite customer visits, facility tours, and sales presentations. Promote Allometrics’ calibration, repair, validation, and compliance service capabilities. Generate and follow up on quotes, proposals, and service agreements. Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely response to customer requests and project execution. Maintain regular communication with customers regarding service schedules, opportunities, and account support. Meet or exceed assigned sales goals and performance metrics.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term partnerships with assigned accounts. Serve as the primary point of contact for customer concerns, opportunities, and ongoing support. Understand customer operational needs and provide solutions that align with company capabilities. Develop trust with customers through responsiveness, professionalism, and relationship management.
  • Territory & Account Management: Manage and grow an assigned sales territory and customer base. Utilize CRM software to maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activity, opportunities, and forecasting. Provide regular sales pipeline updates, forecasting, and account activity reports to management. Monitor market trends, customer activity, and competitor offerings.
  • Industry & Product Knowledge: Develop and maintain working knowledge of calibration services, instrumentation, and industry quality standards to effectively support customer needs. Stay informed on industry trends, customer requirements, and competitor offerings. Effectively communicate service capabilities and value propositions to customers. Provide customer feedback to management regarding market opportunities and service improvements.
  • Sales Presentations & Consultative Selling: Conduct professional sales presentations tailored to customer needs and operations. Address customer questions, concerns, and objections effectively. Recommend value-added services and bundled solutions based on customer requirements. Develop strong consultative selling skills to position Allometrics as a trusted partner.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with laboratory operations, customer service, marketing, and management teams to support customer needs and company objectives. Coordinate customer onboarding, service implementation, and account transitions as needed. Participate in sales meetings, training programs, and industry events.
