About The Position

CES keeps industrial compressed air systems running. We’re moving from one-off audits and projects to an ongoing service model built on preventive maintenance, monitoring, and reliability. This role builds that book of business from the ground up. You’re not selling a compressor brand — you’re selling service, uptime, and lower energy cost to plants that run on compressed air. Territory Eastern and central Massachusetts plus southern New Hampshire to start. We’re looking for someone based in southern NH or the northern Massachusetts / Merrimack Valley area, central to that cluster.

Requirements

  • A track record in industrial, technical, or B2B service sales — comfortable selling to plant and maintenance leaders.
  • A self-starter who can build a territory from zero and stay organized without a lot of hand-holding.
  • Mechanically minded.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel the territory regularly.

Nice To Haves

  • Compressed air experience is a plus; we’ll train the right person on the technical side.
  • A consultative seller who listens first and solves problems.

Responsibilities

  • Build new business across the territory from a standing start — prospect, qualify, and close.
  • Sell preventive maintenance agreements, energy and leak audits, and the follow-on project and repair work they create.
  • Focus on mid-size industrial sites: food and beverage, pharma and life sciences, plastics and packaging, chemicals, pulp and paper, textiles, and metal fabrication.
  • Own the customer relationship and the commercial side of the sale; our Applications Engineering Manager handles equipment sizing and technical design.
  • Get into plants, walk the floor, and find the air problems most sites don’t know they have.
  • Run a clean pipeline and keep your opportunities and accounts current in the CRM.
  • Use your truck as part of the job — drop oil and parts to customers when it helps. It gets you in the door and makes you useful to the service team.
