About The Position

The best lab supply relationships aren't built behind a desk—they're built in the field. As an Outside Sales Representative at Filtrous, you'll be the face of our company in the labs, research facilities, and procurement offices where purchasing decisions happen. You'll build deep customer relationships, uncover needs that inside teams can't see, and close deals through consultative selling and real scientific expertise. Your territory is your business to grow, and at Filtrous, the tools, products, and support are here to help you succeed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Life or Physical Science field
  • 3–5 years of proven experience in scientific sales, preferably in B2B or laboratory supplies
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Goal-oriented with a track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Ability to cold call approximately 20 new customers per day or make 4 outside sales calls per day
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and sales analytics tools, specifically HubSpot
  • Ability to travel as needed (approximately 50% travel required)

  • Deep knowledge of laboratory products, consumables, and scientific workflows
  • Existing relationships with labs, research institutions, or procurement teams in the region
  • Experience in a high-growth or startup sales environment

Responsibilities

  • Build and Nurture Customer Relationships: Develop strong relationships with existing customers to understand their needs, act as their primary point of contact, and keep HubSpot CRM updated with contact info, notes, and deal flow.
  • Prospect and Generate New Business: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, prospecting, and cold outreach. Generate and qualify leads to continuously expand the customer base.
  • Deliver Compelling Presentations: Showcase Filtrous products through tailored sales presentations that address each customer’s specific needs and challenges. Your scientific knowledge turns product features into real solutions.
  • Close Deals and Hit Targets: Prepare quotations and proposals, negotiate terms, and close sales to achieve revenue targets. Manage the full sales cycle from first conversation to signed order.
  • Manage Orders End-to-End: Process and manage customer orders with accuracy and timely delivery. Collaborate with internal teams to resolve any order-related issues quickly.
  • Gather Market Intelligence: Stay informed about competitor activity and market trends. Provide insights and feedback to the sales team to sharpen strategies and maintain competitive positioning.
