About The Position

Divine Flooring is seeking an experienced Outside Sales Representative to join their Calgary Sales team on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for building the brand by providing a high level of service, passion, drive, and determination to build a portfolio of homebuilders, designers, and tradespeople. This role is crucial for both existing business and future growth potential within the market. The position involves collaborating with a sales and leadership team in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

  • Must have a reliable vehicle to use for work purposes.
  • Previous business-to-business sales experience is required.
  • Experience in the home building industry or related field is required.
  • High level of organization, focus, and drive required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the confidence and passion to share knowledge.
  • Creative thinker who is observant to seek new opportunities and perceptive to abstract ideas.
  • Goal-driven individual who is able to adjust and prioritize accordingly to adapt to business demands and requirements.
  • Demonstrates behaviors of transparency, accountability, agility, and learning from others.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with flooring material is considered an asset.
  • Experience and proficiency with technology and ERPs are helpful.
  • Completed a diploma or degree in business, psychology, sociology or a relevant discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Explore new business opportunities through strategic cold calling, follow-ups, events, and a high level of service.
  • Manage assigned builder accounts from start to finish of a project.
  • Conduct on-site measures and provide estimates to retail clients.
  • Visit job sites prior to flooring install to ensure site readiness as well as when installation starts and finishes.
  • Assist clients in the showroom by offering product knowledge and pricing.
  • Complete estimates for new home build projects – including uploading drawings, plans, notes, cut sheets and tile layouts.
  • Communicate and collaborate with the company’s appropriate departments and installers onsite. Troubleshoot problems when required and find creative solutions.
  • Collect deposit and final payments or arrange credit applications.
  • Follow up with clients upon completion of work to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Assist with daily showroom maintenance and completing opening/closing duties when scheduled.
  • Build and foster a network of referrals to create new sales opportunities.
  • Prospect weekly and grow sales in all target market areas.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to develop effective strategies and support professional growth.
