About The Position

We are hiring an experienced Outside Sales Representative to generate and close residential and small commercial contractor-service projects throughout the Paso Robles area. We are specifically looking for a proven hunter who can create opportunities through door knocking, cold outreach, referrals, networking, and local relationship building. This is not an appointment-setting or order-taking role. The right candidate must be comfortable building their own pipeline and closing business without relying only on company-provided leads. The ideal candidate has sold high-value services such as solar, roofing, HVAC, home improvement, construction, or similar contractor-based solutions. You must be confident meeting customers at their homes or project sites, presenting recommendations, handling objections, explaining pricing or financing options, and asking for the sale.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of high-ticket sales experience in solar, roofing, HVAC, home improvement, construction, contractor services, or a related field
  • Proven ability to generate leads and build a sales pipeline through personal prospecting
  • Direct experience selling to homeowners or small commercial customers
  • Demonstrated success presenting proposals, overcoming objections, and closing signed contracts
  • Comfortable with door-to-door sales, cold outreach, networking, and referral generation
  • Strong communication, negotiation, organization, and follow-up skills
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working toward measurable sales and revenue goals
  • Ability to manage multiple active opportunities without heavy supervision

Responsibilities

  • Generate new business through door-to-door prospecting, cold calling, referrals, networking, and community outreach
  • Conduct in-home and onsite consultations with homeowners and small commercial customers
  • Evaluate customer needs and present appropriate services, pricing, financing options, and project timelines
  • Manage opportunities from first contact through proposal, follow-up, negotiation, and signed agreement
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline and accurate customer records in the CRM
  • Coordinate with estimating, operations, and project teams to ensure a smooth handoff after the sale
  • Build repeat and referral business through strong communication and follow-through
