About The Position

The Outside Sales Representative will generate sales revenue to meet or exceed assigned sales projections by giving interactive sales visits to customer locations. This role involves maintaining contact with an established customer base, identifying and establishing new clients, and communicating and strategizing with the sales team on all related client issues. The representative will prepare and deliver bids for customers with a follow-up report to the sales manager, and work in conjunction with operations personnel to ensure above-expected customer services are achieved. Collaboration with technical support and customers to ensure completeness and accuracy of information, evaluation of market requirements and competitor capabilities, and assistance in credit worthiness assessments and collection of delinquent accounts are also key functions. The role may require attending functions to maintain customer contact and performing other work-related tasks as assigned, while complying with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2-4 years of work or college relating to sales and marketing
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in order to interface with both internal and external customers.
  • Ability to work with the team
  • Possess computer skills and MS Office experience.
  • Have a current and valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to travel within their assigned region.
  • Be on call 24/7.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must represent NOV in a professional manner.
  • Must have basic mechanical understanding.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic knowledge of mechanic is a plus
  • Ability to travel up to 50-75%
  • Experience in Sales, or Mechanical is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of Oil and Gas land drilling operations.
  • Knowledge of NOV products an asset

Responsibilities
