Outside Sales Representative Trainee
About The Position
Sunbelt Rentals is seeking an Outside Sales Representative Trainee for their Jumpstart Program. This 9-month training course will provide hands-on experience in all aspects of the Sunbelt Rentals sales process. Trainees will learn about the company's vast array of products and services and the resources that equip the sales team for success. The program combines classroom training, job shadowing, and hands-on activities as the trainee rotates through different business lines to understand their unique offerings. Successful completion of the program will position individuals for a career in sales.
Requirements
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Must be open to relocation upon successful completion of the program
- Bachelor's degree preferred or Associate's degree plus 1 year of related experience
- Previous experience in Sales or Customer Service preferred
- Must have a valid driver's license with reliable transportation and acceptable driving record history
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Solid negotiation and influencing skills a plus
- High level of accountability, time management and willingness to learn all aspects of the business
- Bilingual (Spanish or Other) may be required based on location needs
- Current team members must meet service and performance requirements
Nice To Haves
- Exposure to construction industry is preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Gain hands-on experience during a 9-month training course encompassing all aspects of the Sunbelt Rentals sales process.
- Get trained on the vast array of products and services offered.
- Learn about the resources that equip the sales team for success.
- Participate in classroom training, job shadowing, and hands-on activities.
- Rotate throughout the business and spend time in each of Sunbelt Rentals’ lines of business to understand their unique offerings.
