The Maintenance Sales Rep sells HVAC and plumbing maintenance agreements through cold calling, prospecting, lead generating, and establishing relationships with prospective clients. This role involves executing business development action plans for defined vertical markets, monitoring sales activities through CRM, and potentially representing a specific segment of the company in a specialized market. The position requires providing input and feedback on prospect programs and needs, building rapport with customers, vendors, and other outside agents, and effectively representing the company's interests to maximize profits. Additionally, the role involves appraising and inventorying systems components, evaluating general conditions, and recommending maintenance solutions, as well as recognizing project opportunities and passing leads to appropriate personnel. The representative will also plan and attend industry events to acquire basic HVAC and plumbing knowledge, and collaborate with operations on vendor selection and timely purchase/delivery to ensure prompt customer service. Reporting, proposal preparation, understanding credit and collections policies, and minimizing risk exposure are also key aspects of the role.
