About The Position

Vert Environmental is hiring Outside Sales Representatives across Southern California. This role is ideal for individuals who are natural hunters, thrive on face-to-face interactions, enjoy building new relationships, and are motivated by results. The position offers strong earning potential, long-term career growth, and the stability of a recession-resistant industry. You will build your pipeline from the ground up, own every client relationship, and earn uncapped monthly commission on top of a strong base salary. You'll spend approximately 90% of your time in the field, meeting property managers, restoration contractors, real estate professionals, insurance contacts, and other key prospects to build relationships, become the go-to environmental testing expert, and close business. The role involves serving clients as a trusted advisor for environmental testing services such as asbestos, mold, lead, and bacteria.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in outside or field sales, with experience owning a territory and consistently meeting or exceeding performance targets backed by measurable results
  • Enjoy being on the move, building relationships face-to-face, and spending most of your time in the field (this is a 90% field-based role)
  • Comfortable with cold prospecting, consistent follow-up, and independently closing deals without hand-holding
  • Resilient and professional when handling rejection, staying focused and motivated by results
  • Self-directed, able to manage your own schedule and prioritize effectively
  • Hold a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar)
  • Background in environmental services, construction, real estate, or restoration industries

Responsibilities

  • Own and grow your territory through daily face-to-face outreach
  • Generate new business through office visits, job site drop-ins, industry events, and trade shows
  • Build long-term relationships with potential clients
  • Run the full sales cycle - qualify, propose, negotiate, and close
  • Serve clients as a trusted advisor for environmental testing: asbestos, mold, lead, bacteria, and more
  • Identify upsell and repeat business opportunities within your existing accounts
  • Keep your pipeline tight and organized in CRM
