About The Position

The TOTO Outside Sales Representative – Bilingual (French/English) is a field-based position. The Representative is responsible for all sales, servicing, and support activities within their assigned territory, ensuring that all regional business operations are managed effectively. Bilingual proficiency in French and English (reading, writing, and speaking) is required to successfully manage client relationships and communications within the Canadian market.

Requirements

  • B.B.A. in Sales, Marketing, or a related field, plus one (1) year of industry sales experience.
  • Must be fully bilingual in French and English (reading, writing, and speaking).
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are essential.
  • Excellent presentation skills are required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.

Responsibilities

  • Source, evaluate, and initiate sales directly with residential and commercial plumbing contractors, builders, developers, mechanical contractors, municipalities, and building maintenance personnel.
  • Conduct regular showroom visits; increase TOTO product presence in existing showrooms and identify new showroom opportunities. Maintain showroom binders, manage literature requests, oversee display updates, and lead Product Knowledge training sessions.
  • Assist in maintaining the professional presentation of TOTO products in showrooms and display areas.
  • Conduct distributor/wholesaler visits; identify and build relationships with key decision-makers. Set and achieve monthly sales targets for distributors.
  • Serve as a liaison between distributor/wholesaler/manufacturer representatives and contractors to drive sales and ensure successful product shipment.
  • Provide diligent follow-up on orders to ensure timely delivery.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing contractors to ensure repeat business and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Establish new relationships with contractors to expand market penetration.
  • Investigate customer complaints regarding defective products or unsatisfactory service; recommend and implement appropriate resolutions. Oversee the complaint process through to a satisfactory conclusion for both the customer and the company.
  • Proactively seek out large-scale projects, including hospitality and high-end developments.
  • Perform initial specification sales by engaging with architects, engineers, contractors, and designers.
  • Perform daily activity reporting on all actionable sales tasks.
