About The Position

Under direct supervision, this role represents the company by providing sales and customer service, generating sales by gathering data on customer needs and design specifications. The Outside Sales Rep acts as a company liaison between inside design staff, production staff, and the customer in developing sales proposals. The majority of daily activities are spent away from the employer’s place of business making sales calls and obtaining orders or contracts for services and products. The role involves developing knowledge of effective sales techniques, familiarity with the industry, and understanding of company products and services. It also includes accompanying more experienced Outside Sales Reps or Sales Managers on customer calls to become familiar with effective sales and customer service techniques.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing or related field
• 0 – 2 years industry sales experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

• Represents the company by providing sales and customer service
• Generates sales by gathering data on customer needs and design specifications
• Acts as a company liaison between inside design staff, production staff and customer in developing sales proposals
• Spends majority of daily activities away from employer’s place of business making sales calls and obtaining orders or contracts for services and products
