About The Position

Master Halco, a leader in the fencing industry and North America's leading manufacturer/distributor of fencing, perimeter security, and outdoor living products, is seeking an experienced Outside Sales Professional for its Houston location. This role is responsible for driving sales performance of the company's product lines by making face-to-face sales calls to existing and potential customers, building relationships, and identifying growth opportunities. While the majority of the time will be spent in the field, the position requires one to two days per week in the branch office for outbound calls, quoting, order processing, customer assistance, and administrative tasks. This is an exciting time to join Master Halco, as the company is growing (70 locations), introducing new products, investing in technology, and implementing innovative marketing strategies. Requirements

  • Associate degree (two-year college or technical school) or work equivalent.
  • 2 plus years of experience in sales.
  • Internet Research.
  • Ability to use software to create presentations, word documents, and spreadsheets.
  • Ability to travel overnight as needed.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Successful track record of selling in the building materials industry and home center/hardware stores.
  • Fence or building materials industry experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead sales activities to maximize sales growth, margin targets, market share, and overall company objectives.
  • Develop strong business relationships through face-to-face sales calls and relationship-building activities.
  • Cultivate customers in this new area of business.
  • Determine what motivates each customer to purchase and respond accordingly.
  • Implement and execute sales growth strategies consistent with the company’s strategic plans.
  • Develop a culture of creativity in approach to business development.
  • Work with Branch Manager to develop and execute sales growth strategies.
