About The Position
DRT Metal Packaging Systems is seeking motivated recent engineering or technical graduates to join their commercial team and develop into future Outside Sales professionals. This entry-level position offers an opportunity to learn a specialized industry, gain hands-on exposure to engineering and manufacturing, and build a career that combines technical expertise with customer interaction. The role begins in an Inside Sales capacity at the employee's home location, working with experienced professionals to learn products, customers, and the business. As knowledge and confidence grow, responsibilities will increase, preparing the individual for a long-term career in Outside Sales.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Mechatronics, Industrial Distribution, or a related technical field.
- Recent graduate or up to two years of related experience.
- Interest in mechanical equipment and manufacturing environments.
- Strong communication, listening, and relationship-building skills.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Organized, proactive, and dependable.
- Interest in developing a career in technical sales and willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities
- Learn DRT's equipment, tooling, spare parts, and service offerings through practical, hands-on training.
- Support customer inquiries and collaborate with internal experts to develop quotations and solutions.
- Follow up on sales opportunities and help move projects toward successful outcomes.
- Research customer accounts and identify opportunities for parts, services, upgrades, and new equipment.
- Maintain accurate customer and opportunity information in Salesforce.
- Participate in customer meetings and site visits as responsibilities grow.
- Collaborate with peers and colleagues across multiple DRT locations.
