The Outside Sales Loan Officer is responsible for building a highly visible reputation as the mortgage loan expert in assigned areas, resulting in the generation of quality mortgage loans that meet the criteria of Primis Mortgage products. The Outside Sales Loan Officer is also responsible for discussing client needs, recommending the best loan products, helping customers put together a complete loan package, and collaborating with the underwriting team throughout the loan process. This role involves assisting clients and referral sources primarily away from the office and sub-branch offices, independently developing strategic relationships with various business contacts for referrals, and regularly meeting face-to-face with these contacts to maintain relationships and create new sales opportunities. The position also requires working with Senior Management in gathering and tracking loan origination data to determine the most cost-effective and time-efficient methods for generating loans, evaluating credit worthiness by processing loan applications and documentation, interviewing applicants to determine financial eligibility, and evaluating credit reports. Additionally, the role includes complying with industry regulations, conducting cold call visits, attending seminars and trade shows, maintaining up-to-date knowledge on products and programs, resolving issues, managing loan payment methods, preparing submission documents, communicating with internal departments, collaborating with the funding center, monitoring applications, proposing solutions, and determining applicable ratios and metrics.
