About The Position

The Outside Sales Engineer will be responsible for receiving and handling customer inquiries via phone, fax, and email in a timely manner. This role involves utilizing core products and resources to provide solutions to customer needs, including generating quotes, specifying and applying products, and executing work internally to deliver results. The position requires coordinating and leading internal resources for larger projects and ensuring sales efforts align with business unit goals and strategies. The Sales Engineer will also support JHC Sales personnel and product principals as needed, uphold JHC TCC (Total Customer Commitment) standards, and actively participate in required training and team support. A key aspect of this role is active participation in the weekend on-call rotation and cultivating strong relationships to promote a team atmosphere. The role requires remaining alert and aware of surroundings and may involve travel throughout the JHC geography.

Requirements

  • Ability to receive phone calls, faxes and emails from external & internal customers and handle them on a timely basis.
  • Ability to utilize core products and resources as solutions to customer’s daily needs, including generating quotes, specifying and applying products, and executing work internally to deliver results.
  • Ability to coordinate and lead internal resources and efforts on larger projects to complete work as needed.
  • Understanding and ensuring that sales efforts and work flows are aligned with the goals and strategies of the business unit.
  • Ability to support JHC Sales personnel when required for the pursuit of corporate sales initiatives.
  • Understanding and ensuring that the JHC TCC (Total Customer Commitment) standards are upheld at all times.
  • Ability to work closely with and support the JHC product principals when required.
  • Willingness to actively and enthusiastically attend required and preferred training.
  • Willingness to actively and enthusiastically support JHC colleagues at all times.
  • Willingness to actively and enthusiastically participate in the weekend on-call rotation.
  • Ability to build and cultivate solid relationships and promote a team atmosphere.
  • Ability to remain alert and aware of surroundings at all times, regardless of location.
