About The Position

Southern Tire Mart is seeking a motivated Outside Sales Representative to join their team. This role focuses on generating new business and managing existing accounts within the commercial tire industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for the automotive or fleet sector. You will be responsible for prospecting, building relationships, recommending products and services, and achieving sales targets while representing a leading company in the industry.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
Ability to travel locally for customer visits.

Nice To Haves

Prior sales experience in B2B, automotive, tire, or fleet industries.
Basic understanding of tire types, commercial vehicle maintenance, or willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

Generate new business through prospecting, cold calling, and relationship-building with fleet managers, trucking companies, and owner-operators.
Maintain and grow existing customer accounts by providing exceptional service and follow-up.
Recommend appropriate tires and maintenance services based on customer needs, vehicle specifications, and usage patterns.
Develop sales proposals, quotes, and contracts.
Collaborate with service teams to ensure timely delivery and service fulfillment.
Stay informed about industry trends, competitor products, and new technologies (e.g., TPMS, retreading, fleet services).
Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
Use CRM tools and reporting systems to track leads, opportunities, and sales performance.
