About The Position

Outside Sales Representatives are responsible for increasing sales by developing and maintaining relationships with customers and clients. Duties may include identifying prospective customers, following up on potential sales leads and maintaining relationships with existing customers. Eckart LLC strives to provide the finest quality products to contractors, facility maintenance departments, and homeowners. Our employees are highly trained and motivated to serve our customers. We are a full-service, wholesale distributor of electrical, Lighting, Plumbing, HVAC, Power and Hand Tools. We pride ourselves on the expertise of our staff and a strong inventory of the highest quality products in our industries. Eckart has over 50 years of experience in all facets of these industries.

Requirements

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of two years’ sales experience (counter sales, inside sales or outside sales) required
• Skilled in serving and negotiating with institutional and industrial purchasers, electrical contractors, and the public
• Exceptional customer service
• Ability to warm up and develop instant rapport with potential customers
• Ability to develop long-term relationships and generate referrals from your customers
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills, both verbal and written
• Impeccable organizational skills with attention to detail
• Time management & multitasking skills to serve several customers at the same time
• Strong networking skills, outgoing personality
• Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, Email)
• Self-motivated; able to function effectively both independently and as a member of a team
• Proven ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a fast-paced work environment

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of the electrical industry or a background in electrical products would be considered an asset, including - lighting, wiring devices, distribution, and motor control

Responsibilities

• Identify and establish contact with potential customers
• Schedule and perform product demonstrations with potential customers
• Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers
• Attend industry trade shows to identify potential sales leads and make meaningful contact with existing customers
• Follow industry trends to identify new opportunities for potential sales
• Recommend marketing strategies to target a specific region or demographic
• Generate and submit sales reports to management
